This is our Story
MICHELLE: Sandy and I met when our first babies were born, I was looking for a heart centered day home and Sandy was the answer to my prayers. However, going back to work after my oldest was born was the wake-up call I needed, I wanted to be home raising my kids.
SANDY: Although I loved the day home, I was often giving my client’s kids more attention than my own. In the evenings I was also teaching classes at my yoga studio, whilst my husband worked away. We had been hit hard by the recession of 2008 and were desperately trying to climb out of debt. Unfortunately, as the studio owner, I was always paid last and sometimes not at all. It was a time of struggle.
SANDY: As you can imagine, addiction took it’s toll and Michelle and I found ourselves on a journey that we never imagined. How could we maintain our presence in our children’s lives while also making an income as single moms?
